For you and your horse

With your horse

You sense that something isn't right — but no one is really looking? Your horse bucks, leans on you or simply doesn't move the way it used to, and at the yard everyone has a different opinion. I take a different path: I look for the cause instead of treating the symptom. Muscles, equipment, training, husbandry and the mind are all connected — and that's exactly how we look. Together, at your pace and always on your horse's side.

Training & schooling

Whether it's a young horse, foundation work or correction training: I train your horse on biomechanical principles and with respect for its conformation — so it can carry the rider's weight in a healthy way, for a lifetime. Every breed, every age and every riding style is welcome here, from gaited horses to warmbloods. And if you're ill or away on holiday, I'm happy to step in and keep things going.

Young horse education
Step by step and without rushing: your young horse learns trust, leading, groundwork, loading and lungeing — all the way to being backed. Horse-friendly and based on learning theory, so it grows into an attentive, motivated partner.
Foundation & correction training
Tailored to you and your horse: work from the ground, hacks, jumping and canter work, building correct riding-horse musculature. Even after illness or postural issues, we find our way back into balance together.
Mobile lessons & coaching
I come to you at your yard — gladly to an open stable without an indoor arena too; I'm weatherproof. From seat training through groundwork and loading practice to gymnastic jumping and show support: we work on what genuinely moves you forward.
Full schooling in Wedel
In my species-appropriate open stable in Wedel I take your horse into full schooling for at least two months — with 24 hours of free movement, thoughtful training and honest feedback to you.

Horses that are trying to tell us something

Bucking, rearing, bolting, loading problems — I deliberately don't call these "bad habits", because your horse is trying to tell you something. Often there's pain, a postural issue or an overwhelmed nervous system behind it. I work from learning theory, without punishment and without pressure — and honestly: the sensitive, supposedly "difficult" horses are the ones I love working with most. They've taught me the most. Together we find out where the shoe pinches, and give your horse the chance to make new, good experiences.

Behaviour analysis & finding the cause
We look at the whole picture: husbandry, feeding, equipment, training history, the body. Only once we understand the cause does the real training begin.
Calmness & loading training
In small, fair steps your horse learns to regulate its nervous system — whether at the trailer, the farrier or out in the open. Safety grows from trust, not from pressure.
Correction through fascia & musculature
Many behaviour problems are really body problems. With fascia techniques (for example the Horsebodyforming concept) and targeted training, your horse gets to feel its body anew — without pain and without wear and tear.

Therapy

For me, therapy isn't an add-on but part of the whole: what we achieve with our hands, we secure in the training — and the other way round. That's how real, lasting change happens instead of short-term relief. And your horse sets the pace.

  • Osteopathic treatment (Med-Equin method)
  • Massage & fascia work
  • Aromatherapy
  • Energetic therapy
  • Bemer therapy (a convinced Bemer partner since 2021 — with me, trying always comes before buying)

Please note: I don't make diagnoses and I give no promises of cure. My work does not replace a vet or animal health practitioner — it's a supportive, accompanying measure.

Guidance & management

Sometimes you don't need a trainer but a person who looks honestly and can answer every question around your horse. That's exactly why I studied equine management — from husbandry and feeding to management. Ask me anything.

Training analysis & plan

You show me how you work — from the ground and under saddle. Then we discuss strengths, sticking points and realistic milestones for the next two to eight months. On request with a detailed training plan as a PDF.

Buying & selling a horse

From the first advert and the trial ride to the contract, transport and that thrilling first day: I guide you honestly — so the dream of your own horse doesn't become an expensive disappointment.

Equipment check & muscle analysis

Saddle, bridle, rugs, leg protection, hooves — we put it all under the magnifying glass together. The honest look at your horse's musculature almost always brings an "aha" moment.

Husbandry & stable advice

Open stable, feeding, movement: I look at your situation on site and make concrete, workable suggestions for how your horse can feel even better in its home.

Coming along to appointments

Vet, farrier, pre-purchase exam: four ears hear more than two. I come with you, ask the right questions and translate the technical jargon.

Plans & protocols

Everything we work out together you can have as a detailed PDF — to read back, follow along and keep at it.

Services

Horse transport
Clinic, show, yard move or holiday: I hold all the necessary licences (C1, CE) and the certificate of competence for animal transport. I'll drive your rig — or come and collect you and your horse.
Holiday care & cover
You go away, your horse stays in good hands and keeps moving: training, occupation or simply reliable care — just the way you're both used to.
Theory sessions & topic evenings
Biomechanics, learning theory, feeding: in theory sessions and topic evenings we unpack the subjects there's never time for in the daily yard routine — clearly and with examples from real life.
Video analysis on site
I film your session (45–60 minutes) and we analyse the footage right there at your yard — sometimes a slow-motion replay says more than a thousand words.
